Join us for an enjoyable introduction to three fascinating plant families as we explore a selection of Seán Karley’s short, illustrated presentations.
We’ll take a closer look at Saxifragaceae – the Saxifrage Family, Poaceae – the Grass Family, and Ranunculaceae – the Buttercup Family, discovering some of their characteristic features, how to recognise them and the surprising variety of plants found within each group.
From familiar buttercups and the grasses we see every day to the beautiful and varied saxifrages, this is a chance to improve your wildflower and plant identification skills and learn a little more about British botany, plant families and the natural world.
You certainly don’t need to be a botany expert! Whether you’re a keen gardener, enjoy wildflowers and nature, are learning plant identification or are simply curious about the plants growing around us, come along and join us for a relaxed and friendly afternoon of botany.
