Ever found an insect or caterpillar and wondered what on earth it is? This is your chance to find out!
Bring along your own creepy-crawlies and join NNHS entomologists Tim Newton and Kevin Rowley for a fascinating, informal session exploring the incredible world of insects and caterpillars. They’ll help you identify what you’ve found, show you the features to look for and explain more about how these remarkable creatures live, feed, develop and survive.
We’ll take a closer look at specimens, explore the amazing variety of insects, larvae and caterpillars found around us, and discover some of the tiny details that are easily missed with the naked eye.
Don’t worry if you haven’t got anything to bring – just come along and join in. Whether you’re already interested in entomology, insect identification, butterflies and moths, wildlife and natural history, or simply want to know more about the small creatures sharing our gardens and countryside, you’ll be very welcome.
A friendly, hands-on meeting for beginners, visitors and experienced naturalists alike at the Humfrey Rooms in Northampton.
