Ever wondered how to film the microscopic world? John Smith will show us how to turn what you see through a microscope into fascinating moving images – and prove that you don’t need expensive cameras or specialist equipment to get great results.
This practical and entertaining session will explore microscope video, photography and photomicrography, with straightforward advice on cameras, lighting, recording techniques and how to capture tiny subjects in motion.
Whether you already own a microscope, enjoy photography and nature, are interested in science, or have simply never tried microscopy before, you’re very welcome to come along. No previous experience is needed, and there’ll be plenty of opportunity to pick up ideas, ask questions and see what can be achieved with surprisingly simple equipment.
Join the Northamptonshire Natural History Society Microscopy Section at the Humfrey Rooms in Northampton and discover a whole world of subjects just waiting to become movie stars!
Visitors, beginners and experienced microscopists are all welcome.
