Discover the fascinating world of British spiders with Mike Longman as he introduces us to some of the remarkable species living in our homes, gardens and countryside.
We’ll take a closer look at spider identification, their behaviour, habitats and life cycles, and find out why these often misunderstood creatures are such an important part of British wildlife and our natural ecosystems.
This will be an informal and accessible natural history session, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the spiders you might encounter around Northamptonshire and elsewhere in the UK.
And if you’ve found a mystery eight-legged visitor of your own, bring it along! British spider specimens are very welcome and Mike will help you identify what you’ve found.
Whether you’re already interested in spiders and arachnology or simply curious about what’s lurking at the bottom of the garden, everyone is welcome.
