Astronomy

The Astronomy Section is the original and largest astronomical society in Northamptonshire, formed in 1957. We cater for all levels of interest in astronomy, for people who are young and not-so-young, from armchair astronomers through to active observers.

We host an entertaining and thought-provoking programme of meetings, observing evenings and various public outreach events throughout the year.

Please feel free to come along to one of our meetings to find out about the wonders of the night sky, the latest thoughts and ideas of how the cosmos works, and for helpful advice of how best to get started looking up at the night sky over our town.

Our meetings take place on the second and last Monday of the month, starting at 7:30pm. All are welcome. Please click here for more details.
