Two million years ago, as the world’s climate cooled, Scotland entered the Ice Age, remaining an icy wasteland until around 12,000 years ago. In this talk, we will look at the evidence for glaciers and ice sheets in Scotland and explore the landforms and scenery left behind by the ice that can still be seen today.
