From heatwaves and thunderstorms to snow, floods, droughts and record-breaking temperatures, there’s always something happening in our weather!
Join us for our monthly Weather & Climate meeting, where we explore and discuss weather and climate issues from the past, present and future. We’ll look at recent weather in Northamptonshire and across the UK, interesting or unusual weather events, forecasts and developing weather patterns, as well as the wider science of meteorology and our changing climate.
Our discussions can take us anywhere — from historic weather records and memorable storms to cloud formations, rainfall, temperature, atmospheric science, extreme weather and climate change. We’ll also consider what current weather data and forecasts might be telling us about the weeks, months and years ahead.
These are friendly and informal meetings, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share observations and join the discussion. You certainly don’t need to be a meteorologist or weather expert — an interest in the weather outside your window is more than enough!
Whether you’re fascinated by weather forecasting, keep your own weather records, enjoy photographing dramatic skies or simply want to understand more about Britain’s famously changeable weather, come and join us at the Humfrey Rooms in Northampton.
Guests and beginners are always very welcome.
